The Digital Denture Process

The first step in the digital denture process is scanning with the Medit i700 Intraoral Scanner. This step involves taking molds of your existing teeth and dental tissues so they can be used to create a digital model of your mouth. The models will then be sent to our dental lab where they will be turned into CAD/CAM files and manufactured using 3D printing technology.

Next, your new denture teeth will be printed based on the digital file created in the scanning process. Unlike traditional dentures, which are made by hand, digital dentures are custom-made using 3D printing technology. This process is much quicker and even more accurate than a traditional approach to fabricating dentures, and can also incorporate dental implants that are placed in the jawbone to support your new denture.

Finally, your 3D-printed denture will be milled to ensure it fits just right based on your digital scans. This process is also used to make any adjustments that may be needed so your denture is as comfortable and functional as possible. You will then be able to pick up your new denture and start enjoying all the benefits that come with it!

Questions fréquemment posées

What are digital dentures?

Digital dentures are dentures created using Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology. This means a 3D digital mold of your teeth is taken and used to create your new dentures, ensuring an incredibly precise fit.

Are digital dentures more durable than traditional dentures?

Yes, digital dentures are generally more durable than traditional dentures. This is because they are typically made from a stronger material, and they often have a more secure fit. As a result, they are less likely to come loose or fall out.
